Information regarding price fluctuations at the consumer level is an important indicator for knowing economic developments at both the national and regional levels. In aggregate, this information also plays a role in formulating macroeconomic control policies by regional and central governments.The contents of this publication generally consist of price index data for goods and services consumed by the public according to expenditure groups, developments in inflation/deflation rates, inflation rates, calculation methods, and descriptive analysis. This aims to assist the Dumai City Government and the authorities in preparing planning, implementation and evaluation of work programs in the economic sector each fiscal year.
